Current term of office:  Jan. 1, 2020 – Dec. 31, 2023

Kathleen (Kathy) Walsh

My husband Mark and I, have lived in the Groveport Madison school district for over 23 years, moving into my grandparent’s homestead in Madison Township, in 1992. During the summers as a child, I worked with my grandparent planting crops and helping with the animals.

I have three children and 7 grandchildren. I was an active parent-volunteer at my children’s schools by coaching, assistant coaching, hosting multiple fundraisers, in-class tutoring, and librarian assistant. As a grandparent, I enjoy walking my grandchildren to school (this is what I miss most during Covid-19).

In my private sector life, I am the owner of The Farm on Winchester Pike, LLC, and co-owner of Walsh Electric, Inc., where I engage in farming/ranching, forest management, pasture management, animal husbandry, business management, estimating, and project management.

I served my country in the US Army. I am Journeyman Typographer; OSHA certified in Construction Safety and Health; a Certified Master Gardener by OSU. I love working with my herding dogs, training my goats, hiking, and enjoying the
company of family and friends while having bonfires in the backyard.

I was elected to the Groveport-Madison Board of Education in 2019, taking my seat in January 2020. I appreciated the
public’s vote and in return, I am committed to making evidence-based decisions, along with input from our community, for our district. I welcome the community and all Cruisers' input on every district-related subjects. Characteristics of my decision-making process include transparency, inclusiveness (community participation), integrity, and openness, with a goal for optimal outcomes.
